About Hello, Goose!

Kelly is the visionary behind Hello, Goose!, As a falconer, professional animal trainer, avian rehabilitator, and behaviour consultant, she has devoted the past eleven years to working with exotic animals, focusing on the rehabilitation and training of birds. Originally from the U.K., she now resides in the UAE, where she has trained alongside some of the top avian veterinarians and surgeons, assisting them in providing medical care for exotic species in her home.

To enhance her expertise, she attended one of the leading animal colleges in England. However, it was in 2016 that she pursued formal training in animal welfare, avian behaviour and psychology, earning ten additional professional diplomas. After completing her studies, she began offering free consultations worldwide for bird owners in need. This led to an influx of messages and calls from around the globe, as well as numerous rescue missions for lost parrots that required rehabilitation and reunification with their owners. At one point, her home was so filled with quarantined parrots that even the bathroom was at capacity!

In the UAE, she contributed to the conservation of native raptor species while performing traditional Arabic-style falconry shows and teaching this skill in schools as part of extracurricular programs. Additionally, she provided humane pest control services using birds of prey.

Kelly also volunteered at a wildlife hospital to broaden her knowledge and skills and then went on to work with gentoo penguins. She focuses on educating bird owners about proper avian care and developing training plans to address unwanted behaviours stemming from fear, nutritional deficiencies, cognitive understimulation, or past trauma.

Through her understanding of avian psychology, Kelly recognises that bridging the communication gap between humans and birds requires consistency, patience, and the right knowledge. She is equipped with the necessary tools and skills to assist any family or individual in overcoming challenges with their feathered companions.
